No, it is not too late. As of October 2026, Holiday Lights Phoenix is still booking Christmas light installations for homes and businesses across the Phoenix Valley. Our install season runs from early October through late November, and takedowns happen between January 2 and January 15. The dates that go first are the weeks right before Thanksgiving, so if you want your lights up by Thanksgiving weekend, book in October.
Can I still get Christmas lights installed in Phoenix this year?
Yes. If you are reading this in October, you are booking right in the middle of our season. Phoenix is one of the few places in the country where October and November weather is perfect for roof work, so we start hanging lights in early October and keep going until late November. That gives homeowners in Phoenix, Ahwatukee, Chandler, Tempe, Mesa, Gilbert, Scottsdale, and Paradise Valley a long window to get on the schedule.
What changes as the season goes on is not whether you can book. It is how much choice you get. Book early and you pick your install week. Book late and you take the openings that are left.
When do Christmas light installers in Phoenix get fully booked?
There is no single day when the calendar closes. It fills from the most popular dates outward. Almost everyone wants their lights glowing by Thanksgiving, so the two or three weeks leading into Thanksgiving are claimed first. After that, early November goes, and then whatever is left in late November gets picked up by people who waited.
Every installer in the Valley works with the same limits: a fixed number of trained crews, a set number of homes each crew can safely finish in a day, and roughly eight weeks to do all of it. That is why we tell people the same thing every year. If a specific date matters to you, do not wait until November to call.

Is it too late to book Christmas lights in November?
Not always. We keep installing through late November, so early November bookings usually still land a date. You will have fewer choices, and the exact day may not be the one you had in mind. In mid to late November, the fastest way to find out what is open is to call us at (480) 531-9780. Phone calls get answered faster than web forms during peak season, and we can tell you right away if a cancellation opened a spot near you.
Can I get Christmas lights installed in December in Phoenix?
December is outside our normal install window, which ends in late November. We would rather be honest about that than promise a date we cannot keep. If it is already December, give us a call and ask. Sometimes schedules shift and a slot opens up, but it is not something to count on. The safest plan is to book by October so you are never stuck asking.
Does booking early mean my lights go up in October?
No. Booking and installing are two separate things. When you book early, you are reserving a spot on the calendar and choosing the install week that works for you. Plenty of our customers book in early October and pick a mid-November install.
If you live in an HOA community, check your community's rules on when holiday decorations can go up before you pick a date. Our installs are HOA compliant, and if your community has specific timing or display rules, let us know when you book. You can read more on our HOA and community lighting page.
What should I have ready when I request an estimate?
The more we know up front, the faster we can quote you and lock in your date. Have these ready when you fill out the free estimate form or call:
- Your property address and whether it is a home or a business
- What you want lit: roofline, palm trees, shrubs, windows, walkways, or entryway
- The week you would like your lights installed
- Your style: warm white, multicolor, or large C9 bulbs
- Any HOA rules about timing, colors, or where lights can go
