At a time when fear and uncertainty swept the nation amid concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic, Ahwatukee Arizona-based holiday decorating company Holiday Lights Phoenix stepped up to do something simple — bring light to a community that needed it. The company donated both their time and their materials to brighten up the days and nights of young and old alike across the Phoenix Valley.
Holiday Lights Phoenix began reinstalling holiday lighting in support of the #LightforLife movement — a grassroots campaign that had taken hold across social media. The movement began as a way for people to spread cheer without leaving their homes during the COVID-19 quarantine. Starting in March 2020, it steadily gained momentum as participants shared photos of their Christmas-lit homes as a means of brightening the days for everyone stuck in isolation.
Why Holiday Lights Phoenix Got Involved
For owner Keith Call Jr., the decision was straightforward. Holiday Lights Phoenix had the equipment, the training, and the team. The community was hurting. The choice to give back was easy.
