What does a Christmas decoration installation company do?

A professional installer handles your holiday display from start to finish so you never have to climb a ladder, untangle a strand, or figure out why half the roofline went dark. When you search for a company to put up Christmas decorations near you, this is the full list of what a good one should cover.

  • A custom design built around your home, not a one-size package that ignores your trees and entryway.
  • The lights themselves. We supply commercial-grade LEDs, so you are not buying store strands that fade after one season.
  • Installation by an insured crew who works on rooflines and tall palms every day.
  • Timer setup before we leave, so the display turns on and off by itself.
  • Service during the season. If a bulb or section goes out, we replace it at no charge.
  • Takedown and storage after the holidays, so nothing ends up piled in your garage.

If a company only covers the install and leaves you to deal with outages and takedown, you are getting half the job.

Who puts up Christmas lights in Phoenix, Chandler and Tempe?

Holiday Lights Phoenix has been lighting up homes and businesses across the Valley since 2018. We are based in Ahwatukee, which puts us close to Chandler, Tempe and the rest of the East Valley, and we cover the greater Phoenix metro.

We light single family homes, commercial properties, restaurants, offices, and HOA entrances and common areas. Not sure if you are in range? Give us a call and we will tell you right away.

How much does it cost to have Christmas decorations put up in Phoenix?

Most residential packages with us land between $679 and $2,200 or more. Smaller homes with a simple roofline sit at the low end. Larger homes with multiple palm trees, wraps, and garland sit higher. HOAs and commercial properties get a custom quote after a site visit.

The price comes down to a few things:

  • Roofline length. More linear feet means more lights and more time on the ladder.
  • Height and pitch. Two story homes and steep sections take more equipment and care.
  • Trees and plants. Each palm, tree wrap, or cactus adds to the design.
  • Extras. Wreaths, garland, and entryway lighting round out the look.

Because the lights, maintenance, and takedown are all included, the number on your quote is the number you pay for the season. There is no separate charge to come back and pull it all down in January.

Why Phoenix homes need a local installer

Holiday lighting in the desert is not the same as it is back East. Most homes here have tile roofs, stucco walls, and landscaping that includes palms, saguaros and other desert plants. A crew that knows the Valley plans around all of that.

Palm trees are the star of the show

Wrapped palm trunks are one of the most requested items we install. Done right, they frame the whole house and are visible from down the street. Done wrong, the spacing looks uneven and the strands slide. Tall palms also need the right equipment to reach safely.

Cactus and desert plants

Saguaros, agave and other desert plants can be lit to give your yard a look you will only find in Arizona. They need a careful hand so the plants are not damaged.

Tile roofs

Tile is easy to crack if someone walks it the wrong way. Ask any installer how they attach lights to a tile roof and how they move around on it. A good answer should give you confidence before anyone sets foot up there.

What to look for when hiring a Christmas light company

Before you sign with anyone, ask these questions:

  • Are you insured, and does your crew do the work or do you subcontract it?
  • Do you provide the lights, and are they commercial grade?
  • What happens if a section goes out in the middle of December?
  • Is takedown and storage included in the price?
  • Can I see reviews from customers in my area?

We are happy to answer every one of them. We are also rated 5.0 on Google, and you can read our reviews here.
